Courses will be approximately 1500m -2km in length and include up to 25 jumping obstacles, all of similar colour, but of variable style and technicality.
The course will combine the thrill of cross-country, with the technicality of showjumping. Due to knockdown poles, the course will have to be ridden in a thoughtful manner creating strategic team orders and management tactics.
New course design concepts e.g. Joker Fences will be optional to the standard fence, with a maximum of three per course. If a rider opts to jump a Joker Fence and does so successfully, the rider time will be reduced by 40 seconds and, conversely, increased by 40 seconds if a knockdown occurs. Alternate (quick) routes and angles may also be incorporated on the course.
