Training at Broadhalls Farm
This new venue near Chagford is proving to be popular with another successful training day in July. The course runs over excellent draining land, despite heavy rain they have been able to keep using the course with going remaining very good. Kathryn Northway and her team are happy to provide training in groups of no more than six riders or if you prefer they will do private one-to-one training.
Emily Fishleigh took advantage of a one-hour private session with instructor Fiona Tilbury. Emily was riding a new horse, which she has only had for two weeks. It proved a great introduction to JumpCross for this new combination, being under no pressure from other riders or having to tackle solid fences while they get to know one another but still have great fun riding cross-country.
The riders in the afternoon were enthusiastic with some new riders and some who were returning for more training over the challenging course at this venue.
Broadhalls Farm is planning to stay open all through the autumn and winter months. They are hoping to run some celebrity JumpCross clinics along side their normal dates with the odd competition planned as well.
