Half Term Training Report

Pony Club training days at Grange Farm
3rd November 2006

A busy half term week of Pony Club training days took place at Grange Farm. On Saturday 12 members of the Burghley Pony Club had two hours training over the Course at Grange Farm. Julia Crowson and Cathy Lammie gave them advice and valuable tips on how to ride each fence on the course.

Monday was even busier with 24 riders from the Cambridgeshire Hunt Pony Club. Members from nine years old to 19 years came along. It was smiles all round as some riders negotiated fences such as jumping into water for the first time with great success. The younger ones gained in confidence as they moved round the course. While the older ones tackled a larger track of fences, perfecting their approach to some of the more trickier fences and leaving the poles in place!

We would welcome other Pony Club’s to come and find out more about this exciting sport. If your Pony Club wants to organise a JumpCross training day please contact us on 01780 782356. Members will receive a 10% discount on training.
