Devon Riders Train for JumpCross with Jeanette Brakewell

TOP event rider Jeanette Brakewell recently visited Devon to provide training for riders at the Broadhalls Farm, Jumpcross site.

The JumpCross course near Chagford has something to offer riders of all levels and is designed to give confidence but also provide more experienced riders with a few challenges.

Features include a purpose built water complex, steps and ditches. Spectators are able to view the whole course and the riders get a fantastic view over Dartmoor at the top of the course.

Jeanette, so well known for her great partnership with Over To You, spent two days in Devon teaching a host of riders including Pony Club members who had a great training session.

Said Jeanette: “The JumpCross course at Broadhalls Farm is brilliant, it was great fun teaching riders who wanted to learn and gather advice on cross country riding technique.

'The views are just amazing and I would really recommend a visit to the course which provides a lot of variety and undulations which really make riders think about their approach to the jumps and the level of balance required.

“I really enjoyed teaching all the riders, and the visit to Devon made a real change from my base in Uttoxeter.”
