JumpCross Competition Results Sunday 25th October at Strathearn Eventing A very successful Jumpcross day finished the season with excellent entries and perfect ground conditions. Riders travelled from as far as Ayrshire and south of Edinburgh to participate in the four different height classes. Debra Rutherford from Linlithgow riding her own Sunny Times won the competitive 3’3 class, a consistent winner in working hunter classes and a previous winner at our prestigious Derby Show held annually in September. Julia Craig from Blairgowrie a first timer at Jumpcross partnered her Pre Novice Burgie winner to finish a close second commented “Jumpcross is excellent to help confidence and gain experience for the more technical fences without the solid appearance, I will definitely be back in the Spring”. Alice Craven, a pupil at Glenalmond won for the second time the 2’9, just piping Julia in second spot on Trisha Halleys, Kismet who has been competing in Intro classes this season.
A new winner was 11yr old Jessica England riding Rosie, a new partnership this year convincingly won the 2’6, sister Ella aged 8 finished third in the 2’3 riding her own Jazz. Shannon Kelly partnered her new ride “Buzz”, a beautiful grey Section A to win the 2’3, the only combination to clear the joker.
