Training Day a Success At Chichester College

Press Release

Sunshine and blue sky were perfect weather conditions for the JumpCross training day at the Brinsbury Campus of Chichester College in Pulborough, West Sussex.

Great weather lent itself to the training day with the previous weeks of rain helping to achieve almost perfect ground conditions.

The track is approximately one mile long in a delightful setting with two water crossings and great areas to “kick on”. The course is great for developing balance, rhythm and confidence.

Both groups on the training day had a great time, one group receiving instruction over the intro course and the other taken around the 3”0 course.

Said Hannah Vaughan of Chichester College: “The comments received from the people who attended the training day were great. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day and has already signed up for next time!”

Courses are specifically designed to provide horse and rider with the experience of jumping cross-country without having to worry about the dangers surrounding jumping solid fences – yet the knock-down fences still command balance, skill and respect to jump them cleanly.

Training days run for approximately two hours and are open to all ages and abilities, headed by accredited JumpCross Instructors.

They are offered to encourage those new to the sport to ‘test the waters’ and those committed to coming regularly to competition days to constantly improve their performance.

The course at Brinsbury Campus will be open for training sessions on every third Saturday and third Wednesday of the month, with all competition dates posted on the JumpCross website.
