JumpCross Launches In France

Press Release

THE exciting sport of JumpCross goes from strength to strength and has opened a new site near Biarritz in France.

The course forms part of the JumpOcean complex, a new holiday destination offering riding and outdoor pursuits as well as a relaxing time on the beach or around the pool.

Olympic rider Didier Courreges opened the site with more than 200 supporters turning out to watch a JumpCross demonstration and to enjoy the launch party.

Didier is a professor of equitation at the National School of Equitation in Saumur and is also a member of the Cadre Noir display team. At the 2004 Olympics he formed part of the gold medal winning eventing team.

"JumpCross is a great way to experience the thrill of cross-country riding and the skill required to jump knock down fences all at the same time,” said Didier.

"The JumpOcean complex and opportunity for horse riders in France and those visiting to have a go at JumpCross is a major boost for the region.”

JumpCross founder Robin Dunlop said: “We are delighted to make JumpCross available to holiday makers in France and to horse riders in the region.

"As well as JumpCross training days, there will be competitions throughout the year as the site becomes more established."

"The launch weekend went extremely well with many equestrian fans and local dignitaries turning out for the occasion.”
