Competitors are preparing to go head to head in the 2006 Scottish JumpCross Regional Championships to be held at Greenfields of Avondale in Drumclog, near Strathaven, Lanarkshire.
This superb site set in the heart of the Lanarkshire countryside, will be host to one of the most eagerly anticipated competitions on the JumpCross calendar.
There will be no need for riders to qualify for this event; absolutely anyone who wants to have a go at this new cross country discipline can enter.
JumpCross combines the excitement of cross-country with the accuracy of show jumping, with all the fences capable of being knocked down, JumpCross is proving hugely popular with all level of riders.
The Scottish Championships will be taking place on September 23, 2006 at Greenfields of Avondale.
The event will provide everyone with a superb days competing with classes to suit all ages and abilities.
JumpCross classes include:
Mini - average fence height 2’3” to 2’6” open to 7 to 11-year-olds
Intro - average fence height 2’3” to 26” open to riders of all ages
Group 3 - average fence height 2’9” open to riders of all ages
Group 2 - average fence height 3’3” open to riders of all ages
Group 1 - average fence height 3’6” to 3’9” open to riders of all ages
The day offers a superb setting and a professionally organised competition, with the grandeur and atmosphere of a championship event. Prizes awarded to all winners will reflect this, winners can expect to receive great prizes from their class sponsor.
All are welcome to take part in the Scottish Championships, and training days are held at Greenfields of Avondale throughout the season on the run up to the Scottish Championship Competition.
