A full day of JumpCross training day at Priory Court Farm in Polegate, East Sussex was a great success.
A beautiful summer’s day lent itself to the training session and both groups particularly enjoyed schooling at the water fence on the course.
Many of the horse and rider combinations who attended the day were first timers to JumpCross and came away from the training day with a sense of achievement and satisfaction.
Therese Cousens from Priory Court Farm said: “We had two groups, the first bunch were of a novice standard and some had no experience in cross country and show jumping and some had experience in hunting and hunter trialing.
“The second group was more of an intermediate level and found the training helpful for one day events they were attending the next week. Everybody had great fun and wants to attend the next event.”
Therese has a wealth of equestrian experience to offer prospective JumpCross competitors. Holding her BHSAI (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor) certificate, Therese is a valuable asset to this exciting JumpCoss site.
JumpCross combines the thrill of cross-country riding whilst demanding the skill and accuracy of show jumping.
The course in Polegate like many other JumpCross courses is designed to provide horse and rider with the experience of jumping cross-country without having to worry about the dangers surrounding jumping solid fences.
JumpCross has been designed to challenge all levels and abilities from the seasoned competitor to new starter.
