Sunshine and blue skies eventually paved the way for the exciting opening of the much anticipated new JumpCross course at Broadhalls Farm, Chagford near Newton Abbot in Devon.
The open day was well supported with 21 riders keen to take a glimpse of this new course, where they could attend course walks with qualified experienced instructors, followed by a jump by jump talk about how to ride and what to expect from the new course.
Throughout the day riders were invited to take their horses round the course with Elizabeth and Melissa Rogers, Kim Stanton and Tiffany Parrott all from Chagford having a confidence building session early on in the day.
The day ended with the youngest riders of the day, 10 year-old Ellie George and her sister Charlie (11) from Exmouth, having a real fun ride over the inviting and confidence building JumpCross course.
After a cloudy start to the day the weather improved to expose the 360 degree stunning views at the top of the course out across Dartmoor, giving spectators an ideal view point to watch riders tackle the mixture of steps, drops, water and combinations out on course.
The Broadhalls Farm team would like to thank all riders who attended the open day and look forward to the next training session taking place on the following dates:

Sept 8th and 22nd,
Oct 6th and 20 th
The course at Broadhalls Farm has been built to help train riders of all levels, training can also be arranged to fit in with your diary.
