Priory Court Farm Starts New JumpCross Season

The new JumpCross season at Priory Court Farm, Polegate, East Sussex got off to a great start when the first training day of the year took place on Sunday, May 2.
Amongst those who attended were two local riders, Hannah Reed and Natalie Young, who braved the Bank Holiday weekend rain. This was the first time Hannah had tried JumpCross on her new horse Dora, and was delighted when they won the competition at the end of the training.

Another training day was held on Sunday, June 6. Many riders took part in the day which included training on the course over banks and ditches, steps and the water complex, before taking part in a group competition at the end.
Two groups of six riders took part. JumpCross regulars, Chris Pearson and his horse Friday were joined by his wife, Vicky, and her horse, Splash, who both had a great time and did really well in the competition round.

The site at Priory Court Farm in Polegate, like many other JumpCross courses is designed to provide horse and rider with the experience of cross country without having to worry about the dangers surrounding solid fences making it safer for horse and rider.
JumpCross is an excellent way of training both horse and rider in the art of cross country riding and is suitable for all ages and abilities. JumpCross also combines the excitement of cross-country with the accuracy of show jumping.
Whether a seasoned competitor, nervous rider, coming back to jumping after injury, bringing on a young horse or just looking for something more stimulating - JumpCross is for you.
Training sessions run for approximately two hours and are open to all ages and abilities, headed by accredited JumpCross instructors.
Training sessions are priced at £30 for adults, £25.00 for Juniors and are conducted in groups of no more than six. Pony club members also get 10% off training.

International event rider Jeanette Brakewell will be holding a JumpCrossTraining Day on 14 th September
Jeanette is famous for her great partnership with the legendary event horse Over To You.
Together they accumulated four European Team Gold Medals, two Team Silver Olympic Medals and Individual Silver and Bronze at the World Equestrian Games.
