A great competition at Brechin
The weather held out for the first JumpCross competition of 2007 at Brechin Castle. Ian Christie had built a new course and done a fantastic job, asking just enough questions for the first competition of the year, but making sure riders had a confidence-giving round. Everyone had a great day and it was good to see some new competitors getting the JumpCross bug including Laura and Choe Terrell, mother and daughter from Hillside both competing for the first time. Laura came fourth in the 2’0” senior group riding Troy an 18.2hh Clydesdale owned by Mr & Mrs Les Fox-Cassidy. “Troy was forth, and we were all so proud of him,” said Jean Fox-Cassidy, “He had only had four jumping lessons before Saturday, but I think both Troy and Laura have the bug. He was quite a show stopper - people just couldn't believe how well he did and how enthusiastic he was”! Laura competed on Caramel in the 2’0 junior group.
Brechin are holding their next JumpCross training day on the 6th April. To book you place or to find out further information, tel: 01356 623262
