New site runs a successful first competition

Despite bad weather, Greenfield Stud and Livery Centre ran their first competition in August. They ran INTRO and Group 3 with a good turnout for both Birthday girl, Jennifer Bailey and Dollar won the INTRO and Group 3, so she had a good excuse to celebrate her 15 th birthday. Jennifer has been a regular at JumpCross training; putting into practise everything, she has learnt.

Beverley Maclean and Tinkerbell, a big shire x came second in the intro on her very first outing with this horse and Natasha Khan on Jasper came third in the intro and second in Group 3. This was Natasha's very first competition of any kind; she has been to a couple of training days and was incredibly nervous the first time. She has probably over come the biggest adversity to get to the competition as well as her horse, Jasper, had a very serious accident in a trailer just 12 months ago and has some very impressive scars to prove it! But she managed to get him back in the trailer and completed two really good rounds even attempting the Joker! Ann Morris and Red Hot Spot came third in the Group 3 on Spot's first outing, he is a five year old Appaloosa stallion and Ann didn't know how he was going to react to the other horses or the course even though she has been down to a training day. But Spot was very well behaved apart from having a couple of run outs at one of the combination fences.

All in all it was a good day with everyone looking forward to the next competition where the course will be change slightly to add a few new challenges.
