OVENSTONE EQUINE OPENS WITH A TRAINING DAY

Ovenstone Equine opened its Jumpcross track with a training day held on Saturday 22nd July 2006.

There were 5 riders taking part, being trained by Shelagh Steven from Brechin Castle Equestrian Centre. It was well supported, with many spectators enjoying the event.

The weather was reasonable but days of sunshine previously had made the ground very hard. Most of the riders were new to the sport but seemed to really enjoy themselves and all expressed a wish to come back.

Bertie Whiteford, our trained instructor, attended when the pony club held their training event on Tuesday 1st August. 10 riders attended and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

On Sunday 17th September, we had a “birthday party” Jumpcross training. An unusual but inspired idea. The 5 girls had 2 hours training with Bertie.
