JumpCross is delighted to announce the development of their new site at Broadhalls Farm, Newton Abbot in Devon.
A stunning new JumpCross course awaits you, offering some testing terrain and spectacular views.
JumpCross is an exhilarating cross-country discipline, combining the thrill of cross country riding whilst demanding the accuracy and skill of show jumping.
Broadhalls Farm is already a successful family farm, passed down through five generations of the Northway family and is delighted to be offering a great new JumpCross course to all equestrians in the surrounding areas.
Kathryn Northway JumpCross secretary at Broadhalls Farm said: “We are excited about the future of JumpCross here in Chagford. We are based on the edge of Dartmoor and the landscape and terrain lends itself perfectly to a JumpCross course.
”The course has a perfect mix of challenging obstacles like water, drops and banks as well as straight forward confidence giving jumps, there really is something for every rider no matter what level you are at.”
Broadhalls Farm will be holding JumpCross training days throughout 2007, which not only help horses and riders overcome their fears and obstacles; they also encourage a more rhythmic, balanced riding style. It is a great introduction to cross country for the young or nervous horse or rider, or those wishing to constantly improve their performance.
Tuition is available for all ages and abilities with accredited JumpCross Instructors, Fiona Tilbury and Sue Tudball who have a wealth of equestrian experience and also lecture at Hartbury, and Bicton College.
Training days are planned for the following dates:
7 th May Training day / open day
26 th May Training
9 th June Training
30 th June Training
14 th July Training
28 th July Training
August training dates to run through out the whole month
8 th September Training
22 nd September Training
6 th October Training
20 th October Training
Training sessions are priced at £30 for adults, £25 for juniors and is conducted in groups with a maximum of 6 riders.
Individual training sessions are available on request.
