Great Support for JumpCross


Superb weather and ground conditions made way for an exciting day at the latest JumpCross competition held at Brechin Castle Equestrian.

Both regular JumpCross competitors and first-timers turned out in force to take part in the five senior and four junior sections.

A new challenging course faced competitors, including steps, hills and drops, a water stretch and narrow fences which proved to be a talking point throughout the day.

In the Juniors Lauren Mclean had a great day winning the Intro 2ft section before going on to head the Junior Group 3 at 2’9.

Said Lauren; “I really enjoyed the day at JumpCross it’s a lot of fun and the course was excellent.”

In the Seniors Catriona Goulding held off stiff competition in the 2’6 group, while Lisa Frenz championed the Senior Group 2 – 3’3,

The day was a great success thanks to the dedication of the jump judges and hard working support team.

The next JumpCross event taking place at this fabulous location is a training day on September 10th, 2006. Training days are an ideal opportunity to build both horse and rider confidence, and are particularly useful when broadening the education of young horses.
